Application :

Ammonium hydroxide ACS, Trace grade is used as a medium to prepare magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles via a modified controlled chemical coprecipitation method using divalent or trivalent iron salts as iron precursors.
It is also used to dissolve silver oxide residues, such as the ones formed from Tollens’ reagent.
It is used as a reagent in ammonolysis.
It is used as a solvent to synthesize 1, 4 dihydropyridines via one-pot condensation of an aldehyde and alkyl acetoacetate.
